‘Invisible Circus: No Dress Rehearsal’ is about a local arts group in Bristol who receive no funding – and fund themselves, riskily, by squatting. Daringly, they take on urban spaces and dilapidated shop fronts in order to create one of the most spectacular circus shows in the UK – and the audience only got to know about it via text message.

Naomi Smyth followed the band of chancers for four years – and even became a part of the circus herself.
