Bold words, but we reckon we have the mettle to back this up…
About Future Artists…
Future Artists was launched in 2009, – a Film production and Distribution studio with a 21st century set up, and a mission statement that shouts out change!
‘Without Deviation from the norm, Progress is not possible’
– this was made possible by a small loan from the Prince’s Trust and a mentor – In 3 years we have gone on to produce several feature films, and become the only theatrical film distributer in the North of England, in a double dip recession.
In 2011 we took over the Black Lion, and turned it into a social enterprise, a sustainable cultural space, an art gallery, pub, cinema, theatre and home to 6 creative companies and band/theatre rehearsal space’s – one year on, we are still here, and we did so without any government grants or state handouts.
We also helped found a creative co-op, which bares our name, but is owned by 59 members, and is independent to us.
and so…. we want to share how we did this with you…
and we want to learn about how you overcome your obstacles and battle every day, its a hard world, but as a team, we can all shoulder the burden a little, or at the very least, talk about it and get advice.
and so, with this in mind, we have launched our very own creative breakfast, we want to do these regularly and they are by invitation only, and they are for just 20 people.
Our first event will be facilitated by the Future Artists Team, the next one will be created by you.
10am venue doors open – unlimited tea and coffee served throughout, Cooked breakfast ready when you are (Veggie or traditional full english), a fully facilitated networking event by us.
lets also do the introductions online via social media and then get down to business over breafast.
All this for £7 – All happening in our downstairs ‘Freelancer Zone – power sockets a plenty and free wifi’
